Overview Technical specifications Download

SGR

0.2 s response time

Acoustic pitch response

External audio output

64-point histogram

Simple operation

Long battery life for 3 - 6 working days

Applications:

SGR scintillation gamma radiameter serves for fast and sensitive indication of gamma-ray sources.

Its main applications are:

  • uranium ore prospecting
  • search for hidden artificial emitters
  • industrial and health purposes

SGR represents a handheld, ruggedized and simply operated instrument for field and industrial use. This unit is equipped with an acoustic output (pitch response). These features are completed with water tightness and resistance against mechanical shocks. The unit is powered by standard, exchangeable, single use or rechargeable C cells.

SGR covers two basic ranges of measurements:

  • quick and selective searching for radioactive sources with fast response, acoustic signalization and histogram of 64 measured values
  • radiometric measurements (dose rate) with the support of point and continuous measurements

The dose rate measurement is based on evaluation of pulses collected in the energy ranges from 50 keV or 400 keV to 3000 keV according to recommendation of IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency).
